Esha Gupta Joined JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’
Seems like Esha Gupta is loving the period films. After playing major roles in Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ and Milan Luthria’s ‘Baadshaho’, Esha Gupta is now featuring in another period war drama. The actress confirmed that she is joining JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’. “People do see me in the ’60s era. JP Sir’s love for the country and his passion for cinema shows in his films. I feel honored to be a part of his film. I did “Chakravyuh” with Arjun and we had a great rapport. And now I’m playing the role of Arjun’s wife in “Paltan”. I’m looking forward to joining the team soon.” stated Esha.
Esha and Arjun will be reuniting after 6 years for a film and looks like they will quickly revive their chemistry from the time of Prakash Jha’s ‘Chakravyuh’. ‘Paltan’ is a period war drama based on 1962 Indo-Sino war. It will feature Arjun as a Lieutenant Colonel and Esha as her wife.
According to JP Dutta, the film deals with many complex and varied emotions that the soldiers leave behind, and how their families get affected. While ‘Border’ was about the emotions of the soldiers, ‘Paltan’ is also about the families, friends, and siblings. This multi-starrer will also feature Luv Sinha, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhant Kapoor and Gurmeet Chaudhary in lead roles.
