Aducted in China, Bana back to India this Sunday
Tabrez Akbarali Bana, who went missing during a business trip to China and been traced and will come back to India on Sunday morning. The resident of Dongri in south Mumbai visited China’s Zhejiang province where he went to deal with jewellery traders. Bana afterwards went missing in a market, after he was allegedly kidnapped by local traders over a non-payment issue.
Indian authorities in Shanghai investigated Bana’s missing case and the latter was soon tracked down by the police.
According to Jigar Abbas, Bana’s father-in-law, Bana has been found and is safe and sound. Abbas declared that his son-in-law kidnapping was a misunderstanding as some people mistaken the latter with somebody else.
This is a great relief for the whole family as Bana connects with his wife, assuring that he will be back to India on Sunday morning. During his missing days, his family sought to meet Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, but the latter was unfortunately out of the country.
Tabrez Akbarali Bana was abducted on 23 March, while he was on the phone with his wife. There had been similar abduction cases in Yiwu, the world’s biggest commodity market.
