Kangana Ranaut to share stage with Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama
Kangana Ranaut will be sharing the stage with influential women such as Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama in an event in the US. Being an inspiration in Bollywood, with her outspoken nature and brilliant performances, Kangana is one of the foremost contributors to women-oriented Indian cinema. For the actress, it must be an equally inspiring opportunity to share stage with these influential women to speak about Gandhian philosophy.
The program, titled as Gandhi Going Global, will be held in New Jersey in August. The event aims at spreading Gandhian philosophy, ideology, values and beliefs at a global level. Taking place on the 18th and 19th of August, the event will host educational programs, interactive activities, motivational talks and cultural celebration. In this event, over 500 NGOs and organizations, 400 universities and 100+ high schools will be participating. An audience of more than 25,000 people is expected for this mega event.
Kangana, in her statement, mentioned, “For me, it has always been about the impact you make on the society and how you contribute to it. Sharing the stage with Michelle and Oprah will be inspiring.” She further added, “I have never been anybody’s fan but I admire and idolize women like Oprah.”
