Blackbucks’ case: Salman Khan to be jailed for 5 years!
The Blackbucks’ case verdict is finally here. Bollywood’s Bhai is found guilty of illegally hunting two blackbucks in Jodhpur back in October 1998. Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri, condemned the actor, stating that he is a “habitual offender”. In fact, Salman Khan had been arrested before concerning a hit and run back in 2002.
However, the actor bail plea for this case will be heard on Friday, 6th of April, at the Rajasthan High Court. Hence, he will have to spend the night in Jodhpur Central Jail. Moreover, as per the lawyers, Salman Khan can challenge the conviction in the Rajasthan High Court within 90 days if he wishes to.
The 52 year old actor was filming for the movie “Hum saath saath hain” when he shot a protected species of Indian antelope. Other actors, such as Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were also with him that night. While Salman got convicted, his fellow co-actors were acquitted.
