Actor Salman Khan is out on Bail!
Salman Khan is all set to walk out of jail on bail this evening. The actor, who has recently been doing rounds of the court again for the blackbuck poaching case, has been granted bail today by Judge Ravindra Kumar. After the Jodhpur court convicted Salman in the case, he spent the last two nights in jail.
Salman Khan has to pay Rs. 50,000 to file a personal bail bond and produce Rs. 25,000 from two persons each for surety. These people will ensure that Salman complies with all the bail conditions. According to his lawyers the bail papers will be sent to the Jodhpur Central Jail by 5 pm (time in India) and Salman will be released on bail within an hour or two. However, he is not allowed to leave the country without the court’s permission.
Salman Khan, 52 years, was accused of shooting and killing two blackbucks twenty years ago in Kankani village near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This happened during the shoot of the multi-starrer film “Hum Saath Saath Hain”.
The prosecution argued on the basis of the witnesses and the post-mortem report that hinted at gunshots. However, Salman’s lawyers argued that the witnesses were not reliable and that only the bones were sent for post mortem, not the skin, which was equally crucial.
This is Salman’s fourth tryst with the court. He has spent 20 days till now in jail throughout the years in 1998, 2006, 2007 and 2018.
