Building in Mumbai caught fire, no casualty reported
A fire broke out around 2 am on Friday in Mumbai. The incident took place at a partly commercial and residential building in Pydhonie area. The fire broke at the second and spread to the third floor. Fourteen fire engines were rushed to the spot, and the fire was doused following the fire department’s intervention.
Fortunately, no casualty had been reported. Firefighters declared that the fire was difficult to control, since the building lies within a congested area. Nearby electric cables and buildings had complicated the situation, but the fire officers managed to confine the fire to the second and third floor. A First Information Report (FIR) , stated that the building was old .To an addition, its wooden structure helped the fire to spread easily.
An investigation is being carried out to find the origin of the fire outbreak.
