Shahid Kapoor to play a boxer in Raja Krishna Menon’s next
Shahid Kapoor is one of the most loved actors of Bollywood. The actor will be wrapping up with the shooting of Shree Narayan Singh’s “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” soon and is reportedly gearing up for Raja Krishna Menon’s next film. Shahid was supposed to work on Imtiaz Ali’s next. However, with the film being on a standstill, he has taken up the offer of working with Menon.
Raja Krishna Menon is known for films like “Airlift” and “Chef”. Shahid was already planning to collaborate with the director and this film is just the right medium of doing so. Shahid will reportedly play the role of the boxer and he will start his training for the same right after his shooting of “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” ends. Shahid will be undergoing rigorous training for fitness and boxing techniques to look his best, as he needs to maintain his physique for the role. The actor always wanted to venture into the sports genre film. So, after having read the script he readily agreed to be a part of the film. Other than that, it has been noted that strict secrecy is being followed about the film.
This is not the first time the soon-to-be father will be seen training rigorously for a role. He had to learn sword fighting and a lot of other techniques for his recent hit “Padmavaat”.
Shahid will be playing the character of a sportsman for the second time. He was earlier seen as a cricketer in “Dil Bole Haddipa!”, alongside Rani Mukherjee.
