ATMs run out of cash, Finance Minister A.Jaitley assured population proper flow of currency

Currency shortage which popped up at different bank’s automated teller machines across India today raised much concern. In fact, queuing clients at ATMs were disappointed as they realised that ATMs were out of service.  Amid reports on Monday declared that many complaints were registered forwarding the incident.

As a consequence, finance union Minister wished to underline that the flow of currency is more than sufficient in the country and that the banks are not facing cash flow issues. He defined Monday’s shortage as “temporary” and tweeted:

“Have reviewed the currency situation in the country. Over all there is more than adequate currency in circulation and also available with the Banks. The temporary shortage caused by ‘sudden and unusual increase’ in some areas is being tackled quickly.”

Complaints were filed on Monday as clients in Bihar, eastern Maharashtra and Gujarat. Last month, Telangana and Andra Pradesh faced a similar situation as the ATMs were went dry and clients could not access their money.

The Reserve Bank of India (RDI) stated that this shortage was due to a huge withdrawal of money in some areas. The opposition members commented this issue as a mismanagement of Modi’s government. Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, further added that the Punjab National Bank Scam (PNB), involving Nirav Modi, is being covered by Modi’s government while the country is facing financial crisis.

An eight month old baby had been raped Friday early morning by a 21 year old man. The baby was abducted by the man as her parents were asleep. The accused managed not to wake up the parents and kidnapped the baby. He then took his victim to a basement some 50 meters away and abused her.

CCTV images showed the accused carrying the child on his shoulders and also showed how he killed her once the rape was done.

The girl’s body was later recovered by a shopkeeper who went to the basement before opening his shop. The baby’s parents were balloons sellers and were sleeping on the streets outside the Rajwada Fort.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Sunil Bheel, was known to the victim’s parents and was sleeping next to them.

The child’s body covered with marks and injuries over her genital parts. She also had head injuries. Press Trust of India, revealed that Sunil took the baby around 4:45 in the morning abd that the body was recovered in the afternoon.

India is facing its worst days, as horrific rape cases continued to be reported . Kids and babies are spared and organisations are calling more than ever a wind of change over  the Indian society.

Prime Minister Modi wished long and healthy life to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, N. Chandrabadu Naidu, on the occasion of his birthday. Prime Minister Modi tweeted:


Earlier this month, C. Naidu handed his resignation and withdrew from Modi’s alliance. TDP leader as well as two ministers resigned from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the issue over Andra Pradesh status.

Two weeks ago, during a visit in Delhi, C.Naidu complained that he was ignored by Prime Minister Modi in Parliament. Notwithstanding his resignation, TDP leader was open to reconciliation with the BJP party.

C.Naidu turns 67 today and is observing today, a long-day hunger strike to express his resentment over the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. He had been joined by several Members of Parliament (MP), Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and by TDP members. The hunger strike aims to pressure the government to grant special status to the state of Andra Pradesh.

In Uttar Pradesh, a man has been allegedly accused of rape by his 35 year old daughter. The accused also called his two friends to join him while sexually abusing his daughter. The incident occurred on 15 April and was reported to the police the next day by the victim.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Martand Prakash Singh, stated that one accused had already been arrested. However, the victim’s father and the other culprit had fled and are still wanted.

According to the police, the act was premeditated. On 15 April, the father went out to a fair with his daughter in Kamlapur. On the spot, he called Maan Singh, one of his friends, to join him there. The latter declared that he had previously partnered his friend in other crimes. The two men, including the victim’s father then lured the woman to Meraj, their friend’s apartment. The three men then sequestrated the victim and raped her for nearly 18 hours.

Fortunately, the victim managed to escape and to register a case to the police.
