Sanjay Dutt to star in Housefull 4 alongside Akshay Kumar?
Movie franchises have become a patent in Bollywood in the last decade with blockbusters like “Golmaal”, “Masti” and “Race” churning out sequels, promising to be bigger and better each time. “Housefull” is at the helm of this competition and this franchise has become one of the biggest in the Indian film industry.
If one were to believe the recent rumors swirling around B-Town, Sanjay Dutt is set to star in the “Housefull” franchise’s 4th installment along with John Abraham, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. “Sanjay had come on-board the film last month, but the actor’s character has been kept under wraps as Nadiadwala, a long-term friend of the actor, has a grand launch planned for the actor’s never-seen-before comic avatar,” a source claimed in a popular daily. Sajid Nadiawala announced the film on Twitter in October 2017 and it is slated to release during Diwali 2019. The shooting had apparently begun in July 2018.
Sajid Khan, who directed the first two installments, but not the third one, has reconciled with Nadiawala and is set to direct the fourth installment of the franchise.
Boman Irani and Chunkey Pandey are set to retake their roles in “Housefull 4” but Jacqueline Fernandez who is a regular for the franchise will not be part of the star cast. Other actors including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Sanon and Kriti Kharbanda are set to join in.
“Housefull 4” is slated to be the biggest release in the franchise and will be based in a period setting with the theme of reincarnation.
