Sonam Kapoor to cast Swara Bhaskar in her directorial debut?
After working as an actor for 11 years in the Indian film industry, Sonam Kapoor is ready to don the directorial hat, according to several reports. Kapoor has previously been an assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali in “Black” alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
The off-screen camaraderie shared by Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar, who have worked together on “Raanjhanna”, “Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo” and most recently, “Veere Di Wedding”, has motivated Kapoor to cast Bhaskar in her directorial debut, according to reports.
The report claim that Sonam is so impressed with Swara’s acting prowess, she is set to cast her in the leading role. “I have a couple of stories written for Swara Bhasker. As colleagues, we interact a lot, and so, it’s easy for me to envision her in different roles. I am sure whenever the project rolls; it will turn out to be an amazing association. There are so many actors who leave me awestruck with their talent,” claimed Sonam Kapoor.
Swara Bhaskar is also excited for the project because of the brilliant working relationship that they share. She is apparently confident in Sonam’s directorial skills as she has “amazing ideas” apart from having a “great vision”.
The project probably will not see the light of day any time soon due to the commitments of both the actresses.
For the time being, both actresses are enjoying the box office success of their hit, “Veere Di Wedding”.
