Jhanvi Kapoor debut on the cover of Vogue India magazine! Dressed in a Louis Vuitton, outfit the newly launched actress is mesmerizing with her looks, which undoubtedly makes her the current paparazzi favorite. The cover shoot took place in Mumbai’s crème de la crème restaurants, Dome Intercontinental.

Before this shoot, Jhanvi was to appear on the cover of “People” magazine alongside Sridevi. However, with her mother passing away, this dream of hers remained unfulfilled. But now, the young Kapoor is all set to make her mother proud of her with her debut on Vogue as well as her first movie “Dhadak”.

In Vogue, she opened up about her mother’s protective nature and how she would tell her bedtime stories about her golden days. She shared that Sridevi’s untimely death has brought her family closer together and motivated her to work hard at being a good actress. Jhanvi also shared how her mother thought she was not suited for films, “She thought I was naïve, that I wasn’t thick-skinned enough.”

She disclosed in the magazine that Sridevi had watched 25 minutes of footage from her debut film. She claimed her mother’s response was very technical and gave her suggestions to improve upon. Ultimately, she was happy about her daughter’s work.

Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to team up for “Panipat”

The fans will finally see Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon working together for the film “Panipat”, which will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. After the duo could not work things out with the film “Farzi”, this coming movie will finally see the stars create magic on screen with their chemistry.

The period drama directed by Ashutosh will be releasing next year. The filming for the same will begin in November. Ashutosh tweeted on this, saying that preparations were being done on all fronts and that he is excited to begin shooting.

Even better news for fans is that Kriti and Arjun will be teaming up, before “Panipat”, to perform at an awards’ function soon. The actors will perform the hit songs from their previous films on stage together. The duo is known to keep their fans entertained via social media engagement, and, this performance is definitely the cherry on the cake.

On the work front, Arjun has been shooting for “Namaste England” alongside Parineeti Chopra while Kriti will be joining Karan Johar’s “Kalank” for a special song.

Lancement du Vidéothèque Nationale au National Library

Le ministre des Arts et de la Culture a procédé  au lancement d’une bibliothèque multimédia  ce jeudi 21 juin au National Library de Port-Louis. Selon Pradeep Roopun, ce nouveau concept facilitera non-seulement l’accès aux informations, mais aussi aidera à préserver l’héritage mauricien.

Le ministre a aussi tenu à saluer les initiatives du Premier ministre mentionner dans le budget 2018/2019. Ceci a pour but de promouvoir l’art visuel, les artistes, les œuvres des écrivains entre autre. Selon Pradeep Roopun cette bibliothèque permettra de mettre en avant les talents des mauriciens. Ainsi, il recommande à la population de faire bon usage de cette plateforme, qui est gratuit.

D’autre part, la directrice du National Library, Mme Ramnauth a aussi annoncé l’achat d’équipements musicales d’une valeur de Rs 200 000. La bibliothèque accommode aussi une large collection de folklore national, dont le séga typique le séga tambour, le « geet- gawai », les chansons en bhojpuri, entre autres.

Radhika Apte and Ayushman Khurrana to work together in “Andhadhun”

Radhika Apte and Ayushman Khurrana will be working together in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming thriller “Andhadhun”. They will be playing the lead roles, along with Tabu, in the film. According to sources, the movie is based on a blind pianist, played by Ayushman.

The working title of the film was ‘Shoot the Piano Player’, which was also the title of one of French “New Wave” director, Francois Truffaut’s well known film. As the makers were not keen on having an English title it was changed into “Andhadhun”.

The movie will be co-produced by Viacom 18. The film is set in Pune and the production is almost at its completion stage.

Sriram Raghavan made his directorial debut with the film “Ek Hasina Thi” in 2004, starring Urmila Matondkar. He has since then directed films like “Johnny Gaddar”, “Agent Vinod” and “Badlapur”. Sriram says that “Andhadhun” will be closer to “Johnny Gaddar” in terms of the tone of the film, with quirky characters and a strong plot.

Sriram will also be directing a biopic based on Secone Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who lost his life at the age of 21 in 1971 India-Pakistan war. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest military award in India. He is set to collaborate with Dinesh Vijan, the Badlapur producer, for this project.
