A film’s success is impossible to achieve without active promotions. This stands especially true in Bollywood, where promotional strategies play an important role in not only determining the film’s success but also giving the audience a glimpse of the off screen chemistry of the lead actors. The star cast actively promote the film at events, press conferences, talk shows to portray a positive image of their off screen chemistry. Here are some of the promotional strategies which marked the audience.
Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy for Gold: This will be the Bollywood debut of TV sensation Mouni Roy. Starring Akshay Kumar, the movie is based on the game of hockey. Both of them have been promoting the movie at various events. At one of the recent ones, Akshay was seen serenading Mouni Roy and dancing with her on the song Naino se Baandhi from the movie.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor: They have adopted one of the most cliché promotional strategies for their film Brahmastra, that is, announcing them being in a relationship. Many believe that the link-up is just a way to cash in success for the upcoming film, irrespective of the content.
Jhanvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter: The newcomers of Bollywood have been diligently doing their promotions for their film Dhadak, the remake of the super hit Marathi film Sairat. They have been promoting at different cities as well, including Jaipur and Mumbai. The duo is often seen dancing on the hit song zingat. At one event, Jhanvi even fell in Ishaan’s arms while dancing, which caused quite a stir among the audience.
