‘Nawabzaade’ is a film about three friend-turned-foes who fall in love with the same girl and spent all their savings to please her. Only to know in the end that she married someone else while they went behind the bars.
Overall, the film has three talented dancers who tried to be the good actors as well, a new actress and no script. Raghav Juyal, Punit, and Dharmesh Yelande have made their own space in Bollywood for their charismatic dancing skills. They were also the part of Remo D’souza’s ABCD films. However, ‘Nawabzaade’ isn’t a musical film but it’s a rom-com that miserably failed to please the audience and critics.
It is the music that somehow saved the film. Hit numbers by Guru Randhawa and Badshah have already scored high amongst the masses. But the direction of choreographer turned director Jayesh Pradhan could have scored only 2 stars. This is a forgettable comedy which miserably fails at every point of film-making.
While the backdrop seems to be of UP, the dialect seems to have a touch of Haryanvi. Even the dialogues are very much B-grade movie type and touch the border of decency.
Overall, ‘Nawabzaade’ is your run-of-the-mill rom-com that brings nothing to the table. And seeing the film, we could only suggest the cast and crew to strictly stay to dancing as that is what they can do best.
