Economists hurled India to focus on US Market and to bank on the US-China trade war. During the past few years, sectors like textiles, cell phone manufacturing, toys and games are becoming competitive in the country.
The Confederation of India Industry (CII) believes that the 25% duty on chinese products imposed by President Trump will benefit India but the need for a strategy and government talks are essential. In 2017, India export goods worth to $50M to United States. CII examined 818 products line where the US had raised duties. According to these economists, some key products like intermediate parts for the defence and aerospace sector, vehicles and auto parts, engineering goods should top the list.
