India Prime minister, Narendra Modi said today that he shared Trump’s vision of prosperity for India and the United States. He pointed out that India-US Strategic Partnership had become deepened in an unprecedented manner in the last few years. Next month, the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman, Defence Minister, will have talks with the US representatives Mike Pompeo and Jim Mattis (India-US 2+2 Dialogue).
Narendra Modi think that India and the US were two important engines of growth in the world and that both countries got the potential to take this relationship to another level. It is no secret that Modi government want to take benefits of the trade war between the USA and China. “I share with him the vision of prosperity of our peoples through a strong India-US partnership, based on important convergences, inter alia, in combating terrorism and promoting stability and development in the Indo-Pacific,” Modi said in an interview with the press.
India and the US share a Global Strategic Partnership based on shared democratic values and the increasing convergence of interests on bilateral, regional and global issues.
