Madhuri Dixit-Nene is one of the finest actors and dancers in the Bollywood. And when she joins hands with the ace choreographer Saroj Khan, we can expect something spectacular.
As the actor is shooting for her forthcoming film ‘Kalank’, the new update is that she will be performing a classic style mujra, jointly choreographed by Saroj Khan and Remo D’Souza. A source revealed that Madhuri is playing a courtesan in the period drama and teaches Kathak.
With the mujra sequence, the makers will try to revive the good old days of Indian classical dance as well as remind people of the charismatic dance numbers Saroj Khan and Madhuri Dixit had done.
“Yes, we started work on the mujra four days ago. I’m doing the choreography with Remo looking into the technical aspects. The idea is to create another memorable number that will remind people of our previous songs. People have forgotten pure Indian songs, it’s important to revive them. The mujra will be shot over three days on September 5, 6 and 7″, said Saroj Khan.
The makers even shared a photo from the rehearsals with an exciting caption, “#Kalank will bring to you the legendary reunion of @madhuridixitnene & # SarojKhan ji but that’s not it because @remodsouza is bringing his element too! Excited? Excited.”
This period drama from Dharma Productions is helmed by Abhishek Varman and features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur.
