India’s favorite comedian, Kapil Sharma has enjoyed massive success since his debut on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007. He has hosted many successful shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. But for the past few months, he has been on a hiatus, since his show Family Time with Kapil Sharma went off air after just 2-3 episodes. The comedian turned actor was completely off the screen until rumors started swirling of his possible comeback.
According to reports, his comeback show is set to air mid-October and will run along the same lines as The Kapil Sharma Show. However, he will not be hosting it alone. Reportedly, Bharti Singh and his once-presumes arch nemesis, Krushna Abhishek were initially approached for a comedy talk show but the makers decided to rope in Kapil at the last minute.
“The trio will be working together after many years, since they branched out post Comedy Circus. It will be a comedy show, but different from what they have done so far,” a source revealed. Given how famous the rivalry between Kapil and Krushna is, it will be interesting to see how it translates onto the screen.
Recently, when pictures surfaced of Kapil after a significant weight gain, fans were extremely worried about his mental and physical health. But the source claims, “Kapil was not in India, but the makers of the show were in touch with him. He is currently in Amritsar, and is looking forward to returning to action. He has already started working out.”
