Two more deaths related to influenza A H1N1 infection has been reported in the township of Pimpri Chinchwad, in Pune. A total of 13 patients have died due to influenza A H1N1 infection in the city since January this year.
The two people who died came from Malkapur district Buldhana. The 60-year-old man and a 72 -year-old woman were admitted at DY Patil Hospital Pimpri and Global Hospital Thergaon .Due to the rapid rise of cases in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation order the purchase of Oseltamivir tablets worth Rs 18.95 lakh. Around 79 people have been tested positive for influenza A H1N1 virus since January and the influenza infection is expected to hit more people in coming weeks.
