‘Life In A… Metro’ is one of the best anthology films to date. The film that had many stories finely interwoven, giving an amazing screenplay. Even after two decades, the film looks relevant and fresh. And now the good news is that director Anurag Basu is finally up for a sequel. He took his twitter handle to clarify the news and even mentioned that the film is an ensemble cast.
Now that the sequel is underway, the long list of expected stars includes Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’Cruz. According to a source, “Anurag has launched Ileana and they share a good rapport. So it’s no surprise that he approached her for this film. She is equally excited about this. However, the paperwork is yet to happen. Abhishek Bachchan is too being considered for the film and Anurag has given him the narration. He has liked the script.”
The source also stated that Anurag is working on the final edit of the script and simultaneously locking the cast. The makers are aiming to release the film in the mid of next year but no specific date is yet finalized.
Rumors are that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor were first approached for the roles but their dates were clashing with those required for the sequel. The film is expected to go on floors in October and we can expect an official announcement anytime soon.
