Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will rock in the Remake of Prabhu Deva’s ‘Urvashi’

Remember the era of the 90s when Indi-pop was a prominent genre? The market was flooded with private music albums and they were more popular than film music. Now again the same trend is slowly gaining pace. And the newest addition to the list is the peepy remake of Prabhu Deva’s ‘Urvashi’ dance number by rapper YO YO Honey Singh. If that is exciting news for you, then Shahid Kapoor’s presence in the song will surely icing on the cake.

Shahid, who is currently busy finishing his next ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will seen burning the dance floor with ‘Lust Stories’ fame Kiara Advani. To refresh your memories, Shahid during his struggling days wasn’t just a backup dancer but also featured as an actor in the famous number ‘Aankhon Mein Tera’ by Aryans.

The remake of the cult chart buster is produced by T-Series and directed by Gifty. The music and lyrics are recreated by Honey Singh and the song is choreographed by Sanjay Shetty.

Shetty said, “We’ve changed the lyrics, but the hook line remains the same. The song, however, doesn’t showcase a love story but a new-age relationship between Shahid and Kiara. Even the choreography is contemporary. We are shooting on a club set in Film City. We also filmed in a parking lot on Sunday to give the video an underground kind of a feel.”

Kiara said: ” We all know Shahid is a great dancer, I was nervous about matching up to his skills, but he was super fun to work with. We were in sync from the word go.”
