Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyan’ might have a slow start with just Rs.3.52 crore on the first day, the film witnessed a sudden jump on the third day of release. With almost 45.17% on day 2 and another 11.55% on day 3, the film managed to earn nearly Rs. 15 crore in the domestic market. Though it is an average collection, trade pundits believe that it’s a good start for a love triangle by Anurag Kashyap.
Since the director is known to make off-beat films, a purely romantic film with such vibrant characters is definitely a surprise for Anurag’s fans. Moreover, the film is a comeback for Junior Bachchan who has returned to Bollywood after two years hiatus. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles.
Penned by Kanika Dhillon, ‘Manmarziyaan’ is produced by Anil Ambani-ledReliance Entertainment’s Phantom Films joint venture. However, the film has a slow start and the box office collection seems to be a bit low as compared to the reviews the film received, it is still in the race and trade analysts expect the collection would increase by the 2nd week.
